MMA in Culver City

This coming Friday, the 21st of October, it’ll be an historic day in Culver City: it’ll be the first ever Pro MMA event held in Culver City. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to participate myself, due to a hairline fracture in my hand. However, I’m very proud that the first ever MMA show hosted in Culver City will be put on by my team, Werdum Combat Team/Kings MMA. For you that have never had a chance to experience MMA live, I would definitely recommend you to make the trip down to the Culver City Veteran’s Civic Center on Friday to watch some great fights. You’ll get a chance to see Ultimate Fighter Veteran Jaime Yegar fight a tough opponent in Mozzy Arfa. As much as I don’t like seeing friends fight eachother, I’m know this fight will be amazing, since these two guys both have really, really good stand up. You will also get a chance to see tough Fernando Bettega, Strikerforce Veteran, who has been with Master Rafael Cordeiro since the Chute Boxe glory days and been a sparring partner to fighters such as Shogun and Ninja Rua, Wanderlei Silva, Renato Babalu, Andre Dida…the list goes on. You will also get to see Rickson Gracie Black Belt, Strikeforce Veteran and reality star Kevin Casey duke it out.

As if that wasn’t enough, top world-class fighters such as Renato Babalu, Fabricio Werdum, Wanderlei Silva, Cris Cyborg and special guest: Master Rafael Cordeiro are ALL going to be there!

In other words: be there!

The Culver City Civic Center is also a GREAT venue for MMA. I was there a few years ago to watch Randy Couture take on Jacare Souza in a grappling match and there’s really not a bad seat in the house.
