Congratulations Fabricio Werdum!

It’s finally official and I’m very happy for my friend, team mate and BJJ coach Fabricio Werdum, who has signed a 4-fight contract with the UFC. I know it’s been a longtime goal for Fabricio to get back into the UFC, who feels he has unfinished business with the top dogs of the division and he gets his first opportunity to do so on February 4th at UFC 143 versus Roy “Big Country” Nelson. Nelson, who has showed great skills, heart and hairdos, has accomplished a lot over the last few years: His resume includes winning The Ultimate Fighter; going the distance with heavy-handed and heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos (who was also Werdum’s last opponent in the UFC, before moving over to Strikeforce); and stopping the legendary Mirco CroCop in what seems to have been his last fight.

I’m happy, because I know Fabricio is very happy about it and so is his team at Kings MMA, Werdum Combat Team and his coach and long time friend in Rafael Cordeiro. Make sure you don’t miss the fight, because you will see a hungry and motivated Brazilian on February 4th.

Vai Cavalo!
