Thank you Detroit – Vegas next

It was a great pleasure to have been back to Detroit after such a long time. Love getting to spend time with my family, although my brother Micki wasn’t able to be with us this year. Unfortunately, I got sick but still got an opportunity to teach at Krav Maga Detroit http://kravmagadetroit.com/cms/newsblog/urgent-special-class-this-friday/

I really enjoy getting to see new students and the level their at. Also, see friends and the training gyms they have. I must say, Krav Maga Detroit is a great facility with cool people; thank you Pawel Chichowlas and Lukasz Malesinski for the hospitality! If you’re in the Detroit area, make sure you stop in!

Although it was mainly about winding down, I did get to go out Friday night. Got to see some bars and then we headed down to 8 mile….at the time, it seemed like a good idea….let me tell you this: Los Angeles has got some rough areas but I think Detroit has got us beat! Driving back in a snowstorm with black ice made a 40 minute drive take 1 hour and 40 minutes. On my way back, I saw 8 cars that had ended up in the ditch, spun out or hit the center divider – I felt like Bambi on ice. Luckily, there was no bad accidents.

Heading out to Vegas tomorrow and 5 days with the Spang brothers (crazy fuckers); UFC; training at Xtreme Couture; more training with Kamal Shalorous and the rest of the boys there; and StudioMMA and MMANytt of course!
