In January of 2019, Jose came to me and wanted to get serious about losing weight. Jose had been training Kickboxing and some Krav Maga with me at Systems Training Center in Westwood for quite sometime but it was fairly sporadic, due to his traveling and his diet wasn't great.
I created a plan for Jose that included training and nutrition and we went to work.
This is the part where you probably thought I was going to tell you how everything was amazing from day one and how Jose started working out with an insane level of energy six days a week, didn't miss a single workout and his eating habits were impeccable.
That wasn't the case.
You see, just like any other aspect of life, eating healthy and working out hard and frequently takes practice.
And the further from your goal you are, the smaller the step you take has to be.
We tried. We failed. We got back up and we tried again. We made a little progress. We quit. We started over again. We made some more progress. We slipped and lost the progress.
But we kept trying. And doing. And we saw some results. Seeing results is addicting. Seeing results, no matter how small, is a boost for the motivation.
And then it got a little easier. The small wins started stacking up. The results started to become more and more noticeable.
Until one day, you realise: it's happening. I'm doing this!
I want to make something very clear: I didn't do this.
Jose did this.
By himself.
All I did was provide a roadmap how to get there and the accountability part.
Seeing someone lose so much weight is why I love doing what I do.
Personally, I don't have an artistic bone in my body (except martial arts). However, this is my art; helping sculpting fit and healthy bodies. Jose's results is my motivation.
